The complainant is a leading telecommunications company and the world’s 3rd largest in-country mobile operator with operation in 19 countries across the globe under the unified brand name of AIRTEL. The said trademark has been registered in India and many other foreign jurisdictions also. The respondent has registered the disputed domain name illegally.

Findings & Award:

Disputed domain name identical and confusingly similar to trademark of complainant;

Respondent has no rights or legitimate interest;

Respondent registered the disputed domain name in bad faith;

It was ordered that the respondent shall transfer the disputed domain name in favour of the complainant.
