Our firm’s foundation is rooted in a legal lineage spanning five generations. While his predecessors specialized in criminal and civil litigation, our founder, Mr. Selvam, found his true calling in Intellectual Property during a pivotal college internship. That spark of interest evolved into a career-defining mission: to build a firm dedicated exclusively to the nuances of Intellectual Property.
In August 2007 on the eve of the global financial crisis, Selvam & Selvam was born. Looking back, we often joke that the absence of social media at the time was a blessing; there was no social media to tell us, 'the sky was falling,' we were blissfully unaware that August 2007 was technically a 'terrible' time to launch a firm. Without the 24/7 digital panic, we simply put our heads down and got to work.
Fast forward nearly two decades, and that focus has never wavered. What began as a bold departure from family tradition has grown into a trusted regional hub, providing a single point of contact for Intellectual Property services across India and South Asia.
